PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
Dr. Karen Wang has worked in the dental field for over twelve years, and established Bothell Smiles Family Dentistry as her home practice since 2018. Dr. Wang’s practice philosophy is to treat every patient like family, with kindness and a gentle hand. No matter if your last visit was 6 months or many years ago, she truly cares about you, and will give you her undivided attention. Dr. Wang works closely with her patients to achieve their smile and health goals, all the while developing patient confidence in lifelong oral healthcare habits along the way.
ABOUT DR. WANG
Dr. Karen Wang was born and raised in Southern California and has made her home in Washington. During college, she discovered that dentistry perfectly integrates her passion to help others with her natural skill & talent with arts & crafts. She began her dental journey as a surgical dental assistant, and continued her education at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Go Dawgs!
During her time in dental school, Dr. Wang served as a student leader in the UW Chapter of the American Student Dental Association. She also performed research on ceramic veneers with our prosthodontist, Dr. Jeff Chen, won second place in a research competition, and recently published this article in the Journal of Taiwan Academy of Operative Dentistry. Dr. Wang spent significant time performing dental community service, mentoring underclassmen and graduated magna cum laude, top 10, in her class.
Dr. Wang loves to teach, and continues to mentor pre-dental students in their journeys towards becoming dentists. She is also dedicated to teaching patients more about understanding their oral health, and is happy to answer any questions patients may have.
In her free time, Dr. Wang enjoys playing video games, cooking, baking, watching movies, knitting, cosmetics, volunteering at church, reading, and walking her dog, Ollie.

ABOUT DR. HUANG
Dr. Christine Huang is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive dental care with a gentle touch. She believes in empowering patients by helping them understand their oral health and make confident, informed decisions about their treatment.
Dr. Huang earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a General Practice Residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, she is fluent in Mandarin and values connecting with patients from all walks of life.
Her passion for dentistry comes from its unique blend of science and human connection. The most rewarding parts of the profession include restoring smiles, relieving pain, and building trust with her patients. To stay at the forefront of care, she continually advances her skills through continuing education and dental conferences.
Now proud to call the Pacific Northwest home, Dr. Huang enjoys the region’s endless outdoor adventures, diverse cuisines, and vibrant seasons. Outside the office, you’ll often find her hiking, skiing, or relaxing with a matcha latte or bubble tea. She also loves spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends.
